Me, joyful and a little worried about raising this four-legged kid.
I was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in 2000 – just as we were breathing a sigh of relief that “Y2K” had not ended the world, but before 9/11 and the Great Recession and other defining moments of the 21st century.
Spiritual life, ministry and theology have been both a joy and a challenge during these years. One ongoing challenge is what to do with thoughts that don’t have a home in a sermon or Sunday school lesson. Part of my job is to pray, think and write: sometimes the products of that work need a place to live for a while. So here they are.
